A few years ago I was given a gift. That gift led me to believe, for the first time in my life, that I could have complete control in creating the life of my dreams. Prior to having received this gift, I had been supposedly living the American dream. I had a new family, a newly built home and a Corporate job that paid a pretty decent salary. And yet, at the end of the day, something was missing. I appreciated what I had but I wasn't happy and I worried about what my life would look like 10 years down the road if I was still doing the same things.
At the time, I was in a career that served me very well, however I was not fulfilled by what I did for over 40 hours of my week. I often complained about the way others behaved and how I was treated. I believed that I was a victim of Corporate life's circumstances and there was nothing I could do about it. My job didn't satisfy me because I was doing work that was not connected with any obvious meaning or purpose. I'd bring my dissatisfaction home and it would limit my enjoyment with my family and friends.
Then one day I was given this gift that has forever changed my life. In a short period of time, I went from living my life by just going through the motions, to tapping into exactly what I wanted and then manifesting those desires. I did this with my relationships, with money, with my own personal development and with my career. Rather than living my life based on the beliefs passed on to me by my friends, family, co-workers and society, I started living based on my own beliefs. I found that some of my beliefs were the same as before and didn't need to be changed, but others were limiting me from expressing my true self and living to my potential.
With this new awareness, I made new choices. Choices that were in harmony with my strengths, my true desires, my passion and my purpose. This new perspective even enabled me to find purpose and happiness in my Corporate job as I learned how to utilize my gifts at the office. I went on what I like to call my "personal development mission" during which I set new goals in my life. Goals that I would have never thought possible but for my new found sense of self worth and confidence. Shortly into my PD mission I discovered a new career that is a perfect fit for my values, my strengths, my gifts, my joy, my passion and my purpose.
Today I am living on purpose along side my beautiful, loving and supportive wife Heather and my two awesome kids, Ava & Bobby. Motivated by my passion and desire to help others succeed and choose the life of their dreams, I became a certified professional coach. I was given a gift and now it is my purpose to share that gift with the world.
